Hello everyone, here at Mystical Moments Photography we want to end the year on a positive note, we are doing this by writing about what we are grateful for and what we have achieved in 2023. We know this year has been tough at times and it has been easy to forget all the good bits. To anyone struggling this time of year this could be a great exercise to get out of your own head for a little while and remember what you have in your life.
Now firstly we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us this year. With your bookings, social media and word of mouth support we continued to run our small business for another year and had the chance to meet new people, capture special memories and have the opportunity to visit new locations. We are so grateful and thankful for everyone's effort in keeping our dream alive and so far bookings for 2024 are already looking nice and full!
We have reached a few milestones this year at Mystical Moments and to say we are proud of ourselves is an understatement, not only has this year been our busiest yet but we also took the time to rebrand, redo our website and upgrade some of our equipment. We were also nominated for ‘Muddy Stilettos award 2023’ which sadly we did not win but that just means we will work harder for the next one. We both have learned so much about the business world and even managed to design our own uniforms with our name, logo and slogan which is going to be great for advertising and at busy events when you need to get our attention. We are both so happy we had the chance to achieve everything we have so far, from merging two separate businesses into one and creating a great team.
We have received feedback and comments this year at various weddings and events that have been so humbling. Many people have approached us personally to mention how well we work together and how in sync we are when photographing and just to comment on how nice and relaxed we are to be around. We pride ourselves on all of those lovely things and we want to say another thank you to those who did take the time to notice and speak to us about how you felt.
We have a few goals set for next year which we are already working towards. By the end of next year we hope to have our very own shared office space so our clients can come by and visit the team. We want to spend a little more time creating larger fine art projects using a variety of models and small businesses, and we would love to be able to sell these and share our personal creativity with the world. Now that the business side is covered, we would like to touch on a few personal achievements and things we are grateful for in our own lives.
Lauren - Traveling to Hungary has been a dream come true, ticking off a major goal from my bucket list and offering a much-needed respite. I'm equally grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an incredible charity, further enriching my journey as I pursue a degree in mental health. Simultaneously, I'm making strides toward a marketing degree, anticipating exciting prospects for Courtney and me in the years ahead. My heart swells with happiness for my wonderful family - my daughter, my supportive partner, my dad, and of course, my brother and Courtney. Growing older has taught me the value of quality over quantity in friendships. It's the support and presence of those who genuinely care that truly counts. So, a heartfelt thank you to all of you - you know who you are! And a special thanks to the clients who have transitioned into friends and become part of our extended family
Courtney - Moving into my first home this year with my partner has been an incredible journey and a huge milestone for us. I have had the opportunity to travel and experience a small slice of the world and hope to see even more in the future. I have put a lot of work into myself, learning more and growing everyday. I'm grateful to have a small and amazing support group and I want to thank them for being there for me so far. I have learnt a lot about friendship and who really has my best interest at heart. I am so proud of my family for remaining strong and determined throughout all their battles this year. My goals for next year, continuing to grow as a person, artist and friend and to take time learn and do the little things that make me happy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our blog, here at Mystical Moments Photography we appreciate all the support you guys give us and we hope you take the time to reflect on all the positives from your lives this year.
